ENST 570 - Environmental Science

Study of the connections and interactions of natural systems and human societies. This module will cover the basic principles of ecology and the role that man plays in the environment, including the history of the environmental movement. Each student will develop skills in oral presentation and defense of a particular view on an environmental issue. The issues will include population growth, natural resource management, energy use, air pollution, water pollution, water conservation, soil conservation, pesticide use, hazardous wastes, solid waste management, deforestation and species endangerment.
