BIOL 101 - Cellular and Molecular Biology

Prerequisites: MATH 111 with “C” or better or concurrent enrollment in MATH 111. (Meets Perspectives General Education Requirement.)
Introduces students to the basic concepts of cellular and molecular biology, including but not limited to the studies of the molecules of life, membrane structure and function, cell structure and function, DNA, DNA replication, cellular replication, and basic patterns of inheritance. Students will also be introduced to the process of scientific inquiry, including hypothesis testing and data analysis.(Course consists of lectures and laboratory exercises.)
