BIOL 101 - Cellular and Molecular Biology & Lab 4 credit hours Prerequisites: MATH 111 with grade of ‘C’ or better or concurrent enrollment in Math 111 Introduces students to the basic concepts of cellular and molecular biology, including but not limited to the studies of the molecules of life, membrane structure and function, cell structure and function, DNA, DNA replication, cellular replication, and basic patterns of inheritance. Students will also be introduced to the process of scientific inquiry, including hypothesis testing and data analysis. This course meets General Education Goal 4b: Breadth of Knowledge - Natural Sciences (science majors only).
