CIS 412 - Database Management Systems 3 credit hours Prerequisites: CIS 402 The course covers those uses of database systems which students are likely to encounter in their business careers. Students will gain an in-depth understanding of the usage of databases in the information system of an organization. The course also provides the student with a hands-on approach to plan, design, and implement a database solution. Topics include database architectures, logical and physical database design, SQL, disaster recovery, database security, and emerging trends in database systems.
