EDUC 5223 - Literacy Intervention Specialist: Advanced

3 Credit Hours

Prerequisites: Literacy Intervention Specialist Introductory Course, 2 Introductory Level Workshops, and 3-5 observations.

Introduce second year therapists in training to the advanced portion of the Alphabetic Phonics curriculum and therapeutic program. This course provides the next level of professional teacher development extending from developing basic skills to sophisticated levels of linguistic knowledge such as advanced syllable division, advanced spelling patterns, vocabulary, morphology, and syntax.
