Prerequisites: Placement in this course is by English ACT score

Designed to encourage development of practical writing skills. Emphasis is on drafting and revising. Students keep journals, write short essays on a variety of topical subjects and study models of good writing. This course may be offered with a theme, which will be designated in the course title.

Meets General Education Goal 3: Communication Skills.
