CHEM 101 - General Chemistry 1

Prerequisites: MATH 111 or concurrent enrollment. (Meets Perspectives General Education Requirement.)
The course covers fundamental concepts in chemistry, including the scientific method, matter and its measurement, both the physical and chemical properties of matter, bonding and intermolecular forces, and stoichiometric relationships. Topics such as stoichiometrydevelop the student’s ability to use mathematical concepts to solve problems.(The course includes a laboratory component.)
