Using a unique blend of cross-disciplinary components, students are prepared to enter the exciting and fast-paced field of management. The design of the Business Management program includes components focused on the management of organizational behavior, business planning, information systems in the business context, accounting management, legal aspects of business, economic influences on business, marketing, and strategic management through the careful development and analysis of relevant data.

Today’s business management professionals assume a broad range of responsibilities involving interpersonal activities, decisionmaking, communication and teamwork. Through an active advisory council composed of key business industry leaders, courses are designed to bring the experience of business professionals into the classroom environment.

It is recognized that graduates of Business Management are passionate about leveraging the power of a workforce by learning to work with and through others. Expertise of the instructor, combined with the collaborative participation of students, creates an intensive and challenging leaning experience. Graduates are able to maximize opportunities for entering a wide variety of management-related careers in small or large business, corporations or governmental agencies.

Students advance through the program as a cohort of adults with diverse backgrounds and experience. An applied research project is designed to draw upon key learning from throughout the program while assessing an organization’s performance from seven different perspectives (leadership, strategic planning, customer and market focus, measurement, analysis and knowledge, human resource focus, process management and business results).
