Cyber Security M.S.

The Master of Science in Cyber Security (MSCS) program is a professional degree designed to prepare students for leadership positions in information security.

Schedule

Most courses are four credit hours and are offered in eight-week terms, either fully online or one night a week in a hybrid format.

Students will earn a MS degree upon completion of 40 credit hours consisting of a 5-credit hour course in cyber security fundamentals, 28 credit hours in seven core cyber security courses, 3 credit hours of further study in one elective cyber security subject, and a 4 credit hour Capstone course.

Admissions Requirements

 In addition to the requirements stated under the Graduate Admissions Policy, the requirements for admission to the MSCS program are as follows:

  • Two letters of recommendation: one employer, one personal.
  • Completion of the program interview process and written approval of admission by the program director after review of the admission requirements.
  • Three college-level credit hours of computer programing (any language) with a C or better.
  • Three college-level credit hours of college-level statistics with a C or better.
