The ballet program addresses dance first and foremost as a performing art. With the Bachelor of Arts three concentrations of Sacred Dance, Studio Operations and Music & Theatre opportunities are expanded in interdisciplinary studies to meet the needs of dancers for today’s careers. This degree also offers more flexibility to double major or minor in health sciences, business and Christian Spiritual Formations.
Employment
Performance or choreography for ballet, contemporary-ballet and/or Church Ministry dance companies; teaching dance and somatics in studio or recreational settings; reconstruction, notation and analysis of dances; dance-related historical work; stage management; administrative work in the arts.
