Music Theatre Minor

The music theatre minor allows students with an interest in music theatre to develop genre-specific performance skills in dance, theatre, and vocal music.

Minor Requirements: 20 credit hours

Choose one of the following:

MUSC 101 - Music Theory & Aural Skills 1
MUSC 135 - Piano Class (2 credit hours)

Choose 2 credit hours from the following:

Choose remaining credit hours from the following:

Fine Arts majors must choose courses outside of their primary performance area.

Dance Electives

Student pursuing a B.A. or B.F.A. in Ballet may not choose from this category.

Theatre Electives

Student pursuing a B.A. in Theatre or Speech/Theatre Education may not choose from this category.

Music Electives

Student pursuing a B.A. or B.M. in Music, Music Performance, or Music Education may not choose from this category.

A maximum of 2 credit hours of ensemble courses may be selected.

Total Minor Requirements: 20 credit hours
