The Master of Arts in Christian Spiritual Formation and Leadership program is a professional degree designed to prepare students for leadership positions in Christian ministry and spiritual formation. The purpose of the program is to deepen students’ understanding of the essential concepts in Christian spiritual formation and the key aspects of leadership in various ministry settings.
Schedule
Four courses are residency classes (on-site) while the other six are online/virtual, all of which take place over a two-year period.

Admission Requirements
In addition to the requirements stated under the Graduate Admissions Policy, the requirements for admission to the MCSFL are as follows:
- Baccalaureate or graduate degree from a regionally accredited institution.
Note: A limited number of students who do not have a baccalaureate degree but have an extensive ministerial experience that has prepared them for masters-level theological training may be considered for admission, at the discretion of the Program Director with the approval from the VPAA. As many as 15 percent of the students in the CSFL program may be admitted under this exemption. Students admitted under this exception must obtain a 3.0 GPA or better in their first 8 credit hours of coursework.
- Two letters of recommendation: One pastoral and one personal or professional.
- Autobiographical essay with church background.
- Completion of the program intake process and written approval of admission by the Program Director after review of the admissions requirements.
