The music theatre minor allows students with an interest in music theatre to develop genre-specific performance skills in dance, theatre, and vocal music.

Minor Requirements: 20 credit hours

DANP 125 - Introduction to Dance Techniques 2 Credit Hours
DANP 130 - Tap 1 Credit Hours
DANP 131 - Jazz 1 Credit Hours
MUSP 145 - Voice Performance 1 - 6 variable Credit Hours (2 credit hours)
THEA 120 - Exploring Theatre 3 Credit Hours
THEA 150 - Theatre Workshop 1 Credit Hours

Choose one of the following:

MUSC 101 - Music Theory & Aural Skills 1 4 Credit Hours
MUSC 135 - Piano Class 1 Credit Hours (2 credit hours)

Choose 2 credit hours from the following:

MUSP 155 - Opera Workshop 1 Credit Hours
THEA 487 - Advanced Studies: Theatre Production Practicum 1 - 3 variable Credit Hours
THEA 488 - Advanced Studies: Theatre Performance Practicum 1 - 3 variable Credit Hours

Choose remaining credit hours from the following:

Fine Arts majors must choose courses outside of their primary performance area.
