The Music Department serves undergraduate students wishing to study in performance areas, to prepare for a career in music education, to prepare for a ministry of music in churches, and to develop a knowledge and appreciation of music as an integral part of a liberal arts education.

General Education Requirements
Eight credit hours in a single foreign language is required for the Bachelor of Arts degree.
Major Requirements: 48-49 credit hours
Choose two Music History courses:
One course must be MUSC 301, 302 or 415.
Choose six credit hours of Performance Courses:
Choose two credit hours in Primary Instrument:
Choose eight credit hours from the following:
Piano Proficiency Requirement:
Students must take piano until they have passed the Piano Proficiency Exam.
Total Major Requirements: 48-49 credit hours
Optional Music in Worship Emphasis: 15 credit hours
A Music in Worship emphasis (or concentration) defines the content of the Bachelor of Arts in music degree around a particular subject area and provides a practical focus for those students who wish to pursue the field of music and worship ministry.
Total Degree Requirements: 124 credit hours
