Forensic Science Minor

The forensic science minor provides the student with an overview of the fundamental principles and functioning of the field of forensic science. It is intended for those students who have an interest in expanding their chosen degree field into the forensic arena.

Minor Requirements: 18-19 credit hours

BIOL 101 - Cellular and Molecular Biology & Lab 4 Credit Hours
or CHEM 101 - General Chemistry 1 & Lab 5 Credit Hours
FORS 101 - Introduction to Forensic Science 3 Credit Hours
FORS 490 - Forensic Science Seminar 3 Credit Hours
Additional CHEM/BIOL courses to earn a total minimum of 18 credit hours.
Note: If student uses BIOL 101 or CHEM 101 to meet General Education requirements, that course(s) may not be used to fulfill minor requirements.
