This degree is designed by art educators to fully instruct students in the latest and best techniques of teaching art. All students applying for an art education degree must choose a media of preference and focus on that media for their senior exhibition. All students applying for graduation must participate in the senior exhibit.

Professional Education Requirements - BA/BS/BM Degrees (Grades PreK-12): 37 credit hours
37 credit hours includes Area of Specialization courses in all Education programs. Area of Specialization Requirement:
Art Teaching Field Requirements: 36 credit hours
In addition to the professional education requirements, the following are required: Total Art Education Requirements: 73 credit hours
Total Degree Requirements: 123-126 credit hours
