PHIL 410 - Social and Political Philosophy


Credit Hours: 3

Prerequisites: COMP 202  

This course examines the main issues of social and political philosophy.  Through comparison and critical analysis of the writings of major social and political philosophers from ancient to contemporary authors, students will consider various views regarding the relations between individuality and society.  Issues such as the nature of political authority, justice, the rights and freedom of individuals, and community will also be discussed.
