Exploration of the main periods of American history highlighting prominent and recurrent patterns, which define and shape the American experience. Special consideration will be given to the American political and economic system, to American foreign and domestic policy, and to some of its intellectual and artistic contributions. Attention will be given to minority and native American culture.
