ORGD 670 - MSOD Summer Residency

6 credit hours
Summer residencies are integral parts of the MSOD experience.  The one week residency is held on the campus of Friends University and features a rigorous schedule of workshops, seminars, and readings.  First year students are required to enroll in the 6 credit hour summer residency.  Second year students and alumni from the program will have the option of attending portions of the week, such as the social events, the guest speakers, seminar events, and service learning projects.

A typical summer residency day begins with workshops (for first year students) in the morning followed by lunch in the University’s dining hall.  Students, faculty, and program alumni then gather for an afternoon seminar led by a faculty mentor or a visiting OD practitioner.  Service learning options consisting of OD consulting projects are typically scheduled twice during the week.  Presentation talks by distinguished visiting OD practitioners and faculty mentors are held in the evenings.  After-hours student social gatherings are scheduled throughout the week.  Students may be enrolled on-ground or online for the Summer Residency.Course Delivery Methods: WEB, BLD, ONL
