The Criminal Justice major is designed to prepare students for direct employment or for continuing education at the graduate level. Students can choose a legal concentration or a behavior concentration, depending on the particular interests and goals of the student. In addition to classroom study, all students will spend at least one semester in a field experience setting (internship) to focus on particular areas of interest and to begin networking with professionals. Students will not be required to fulfill common professional business core.
Employment
The criminal justice major prepares students for a variety of careers, including: state trooper, sheriff, criminologist, police officer, DEA and FBI agent.

Eight credit hours in a single foreign language is required for the Bachelor of Arts degree.
