Courses in art seek to help students understand the forms and organization of the visual arts, to develop a degree of technical ability in expressing ideas in visual form, and to gain insight through study of the visual expressions of the thoughts and emotions of persons in both past and present ages.

General Education Requirements


Eight credit hours in a single foreign language is required for the Bachelor of Arts degree.

Choose One Area of Concentration (Required):


Studio Concentration: 24 credit hours


Choose an area of major emphasis and an area of minor emphasis in painting, sculpture, ceramics, printmaking, photography or drawing.

Total Major Requirements: 64 credit hours


Total Degree Requirements: 124 credit hours
