The Christian Spiritual Formation (CSF) program is a secondary major within the Religion and Philosophy degree at Friends University. This coursework is designed as a second major only and must be combined with a primary major (e.g. business, music, psychology, etc.). A student interested in religion and philosophy but who is not seeking the major is served by this course of study. Students majoring in Religion and Philosophy may not pursue CSF as a secondary major.
The field of Christian Spiritual Formation (CSF) has been steadily growing over the last ten years, replacing or eclipsing Discipleship or Christian Education in many churches.
This secondary major is designed to be a combination of in-class work as well as ‘hands-on’ work outside of class.
Employment
This secondary major will enrich the student’s preparation and capability for Christian service wherever and whatever the student’s career path may be.
