EMPLOYMENT
The major offers students a wide range of career opportunities, some of the most common jobs include: advocacy groups; federal, state, and local government (i.e., Equal Opportunity Employment Agency, Housing and Urban Development); United Way agencies; local branches of national nonprofit organizations; foster and adoption agencies; child care; public and private nursing homes; social service agencies; labor unions; and various religious organizations.
The coursework also prepares students for graduate school, for those interested in pursuing their master or doctoral degree.
