Global Leadership and Management, M.G.L.M

The Master of Global Leadership and Management program (MGLM) will develop leaders with a global perspective, cross-cultural business skills and social responsibility.  It is committed to teaching major competencies in leadership, ethics and complex business skills which are critical for gaining sustainable competitive advantage in a global business environment.  Students in the program will analyze the impact of globalization on domestic businesses and consider successful practices of meeting the challenges of global business leadership and management.  The program is designed for business people who are challenged with growing worldwide competition and the necessity to deal effectively with the international business issues.

SCHEDULE

On Ground Format:

Most courses are offered in eight-week time frames, one night a week, in addition to a week of International travel required for the special project.

Online Format:

All courses will be taught online.  The international business residency is built into the last course, MGMT 691 Special Project:  Global Business Experience.  The international residency will help students to benchmark their academic knowledge against the real life international business practices.  The faculty assigned to teach this course will meet students at the destination for orientation and will conduct the residency according to an approved itinerary.  The itinerary includes activities such as visiting international business companies, conducting interviews and participating in round-table discussions.  Students are responsible for filing forms required for residency abroad on time.  Students are responsible for making transportation arrangements and arriving at the appointed place, date and time to the destination of their residency abroad.  The price of transportation to the residency location and back is not included in the tuition.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

In addition to the requirements stated under the Graduate Admissions Policy, the requirements for admission to MGLM are as follows:

  1. Letter of recommendation from employer or professional reference.
  2. Completion of international travel acknowledgement form.
  3. Completion of program interview process and written approval of admission by the program director after review of the admissions requirements.
