Communications B.A.


The communications major at Friends University is an interdisciplinary program focusing on: journalism/public relations, media studies and publications. The unique combination of these three disciplines within the curriculum, together with work experience through special problems courses and on- or off-campus internships, allows students to focus their studies on journalism/public relations, media studies, publications or all three.

EMPLOYMENT

The publications emphasis seeks to prepare students for entry-level positions in the print and electronic publishing environment. The media studies emphasis seeks to prepares students for entry-level positions in television and film production environments. The journalism emphasis seeks to prepare students for careers in print or electronic media, graphic arts, and public relations.
