The Friends University Zoo Science program prepares students for careers in the zoo profession. The curriculum includes a broad foundation in the sciences as well as a series of courses and internships (open only to Zoo Science majors) at the Sedgwick County Zoo, which allows practical experience in zoo science, zoo education and zoo management.
EMPLOYMENT
The Friends University Zoo Science program prepares students for careers in the zoo profession, such as zoos; wildlife exhibits: SeaWorld, aquariums, and rehabilitation centers; laboratory: animal health, captive breeding programs, education and interpretation, conservation/endangered species; veterinarian’s assistant; animal shelters/humane societies; and pet shops.
