MUSC 494 - Music Internship


Credit Hours: 1 - 3 variable
Prerequisites: Junior Status
Faculty-supervised, practical experience in music-related fields such as applied music teaching, performance, music ministry, arts administration and music business. In the case of internships with individual organizations, the curriculum will be set by agreement between the Division of Fine Arts chair, the faculty supervisor, and the sponsoring organization.  In the case of internships consisting of music performance in the community, the curriculum will be set by agreement between the Division of Fine Arts Chair, and the faculty supervisor.  This is an elective course available to students graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in Music degree or a Bachelor of Music in Performance degree.  Learning will be evaluated by the faculty supervisor, based upon submitted record of work accomplished, organization’s supervisor assessment, and reflective journal.
