Radiologic Technology B.S.


Individuals wishing to get a Bachelor of Science degree in Radiologic Technology have two options.

In the first option, the student completes two years of course work at Friends, then transfers into any American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) approved Radiologic Technology program where they complete the requirements for an associates in Radiologic Technology (approximately 60-62 hours). Upon successful completion, those courses are transferred back to Friends, and the individual will also receive a Bachelor of Science degree.

In the second option, the student completes the requirements for an associates degree in Radiologic Technology at an ARRT approved institutions (approximately 60-62 hours), and then transfers into Friends to complete the final two years of coursework required for a Bachelor of Science degree.

EMPLOYMENT

Once students have been certified by the ARRT they can work in the following areas of specialty: radiology, diagnostic radiography, radiation oncology, nuclear medicine, C.T. Tomography, magnetic resonance imaging and diagnostic ultrasound.

Students can practice in a variety of settings such as: private hospitals, rehabilitation hospitals, clinics and sports medicine clinics.

Major Requirements:


In addition to the core requirements listed below, completion of two years RTP (approximately 60-62 hours) or certification by American Registry of Radiologic Technology is required and a transcript from the accredited institution must be submitted.

Total Degree Requirements: 124 hours
