Organizational Leadership and Transformational Change, B.A.


Global Citizenship & Social Responsibility, Change Leadership, and Service

The Organizational Leadership and Transformational Change is a generalized Bachelor of Arts degree that provides students a strong liberal arts foundation, while developing and honing their skills and abilities in effective communication, self-awareness, leading group processes and collaborative teamwork, while successfully influencing change processes to achieve desired outcomes.  The competencies emphasized by the program outcomes include transferable skills that are applicable in a wide-variety of industries and professions.

The theoretical frameworks for this program include leadership, organization development, and social science perspectives, with practical applications in leading and influencing change processes.

EMPLOYMENT

This degree is designed for students seeking work in a variety of fields including program manager or consultant positions, public service executives, corrections counselors, research analysts, workforce services supervisors, project analysts, training and development fields, management, sales force, marketing, human resources and public service administrator roles.

General Education Requirements for the College of Adult and Professional Studies:


  • Composition (w/ grade of “C” or better) - 3 hours
  • Researched Composition (w/ grade of “C” or better) - 3 hours
  • Math * - 3 hours
  • Natural Science w/ lab - 4 hours
  • Speech - 3 hours
  • Religion/Philosophy - 3 hours
  • Social/Behavioral Sciences - 6 hours
  • Computer Information Systems - 3 hours
  • Liberal Arts/Humanities - 9 hours
    • Select a minimum of 9 hours within at least two categories:
      • History
      • Literature
      • Fine Arts (Art, Music, or Drama - survey courses)
